Message I was hoping some smart MechE would speak up and set the story straight.

If a TT and NA motor would be run at the same resultant compression (absolute pressure) the TT would have a lot more power due to the increased air molecules. But the TT and NA are designed with noticeably different cylinder compression ratios, so where does the resultant compression fall out? I don't know.

One thing's for sure: it's possible the design a NA engine with the same power as our beloved TT but it would likely be an 8-cylinder or a diesel. The diesel does it by running at even higher compression ratios --not so much the molecules.
